Apple now generates in one quarter what it made in a full year when Tim Cook became CEO
Apple $AAPL now generates roughly as much revenue in a single quarter as it did in an entire year when Tim Cook became CEO in 2011.
At the start of Cook's tenure, Apple was valued at roughly $350 billion and produced about $108 billion in annual revenue. Today, the company is worth around $4.6 trillion and generates approximately $416 billion in yearly revenue.
Apple also reports more than 2.5 billion active devices and a services business generating roughly $109 billion annually.
During Cook's tenure, the company shipped about 3.1 billion iPhones and returned more than $1 trillion to shareholders, highlighting the scale of Apple's transformation over the past 15 years.
