Solana Sets New Transaction Record in August, Up 23% From July
Solana processed over 5.2 billion non-vote transactions in August 2026, a new all-time high and a 23% jump from July's previous record of roughly 4.24 billion, according to Blockworks data. Non-vote transactions strip out automated validator "vote" transactions, leaving a cleaner measure of real user and app activity on the network.
Monthly non-vote transactions hovered between 1 billion and 2 billion for much of 2023 and early 2024, meaning August's figure is more than double the network's typical throughput 18 months ago.
Solana's circulating stablecoin supply also reached approximately $14.7 billion in August, up from roughly $5 billion a year earlier, nearly tripling in 12 months. The milestone came days after Solana's first-ever validator governance vote, in which two of three proposals passed, including one to double the rate at which new SOL issuance shrinks each year.
