U.S. Mint Releases Commemorative President Donald J. Trump $1 Coin for Nation's 250th Anniversary

The U.S. Mint has launched the "2026 President Donald J. Trump $1 Coin", making it available for purchase by the public. Issued to celebrate the United States' semiquincentennial, the release marks an extraordinary moment in U.S. monetary history.
The gold-finished dollar coin features a portrait of President Donald J. Trump on the obverse and the Presidential Seal with a "250" inscription on the reverse. While federal law generally restricts living individuals from appearing on U.S. currency, the Treasury proceeded under authority granted by the Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020.
Collector rolls of 25 are priced at $61, and 100-coin bags are available for $154.50. Additionally, the Mint has distributed 250,000 special-edition coins struck on July 4 featuring a unique "July 4th" privy mark randomly hidden within the orders.
