Asian markets lose $950B after US-Iran strikes

Asian stock markets came under heavy pressure after renewed U.S.-Iran strikes rattled global risk sentiment.
More than $950 billion was reportedly wiped out across major regional markets.
South Korea’s KOSPI fell 9.2%, Japan’s Nikkei dropped 2.7%, China’s SSE lost 2.3%, Taiwan’s market fell 3.1%, and India’s NIFTY slipped 0.3%.
The biggest damage came from South Korea, where around ₩561.2 trillion, or roughly $377 billion, was erased.
For investors, the signal is clear: geopolitical shocks are spreading quickly into Asian equities, semiconductors, exporters, and broader risk assets.
The key question is whether this remains a sharp one-day reaction or turns into a deeper regional selloff.
