U.S. markets set to expand trading to 23 hours a day

U.S. markets are set to begin operating on a 23-hour weekday trading schedule starting December 6, significantly expanding access beyond traditional market hours.
The schedule would leave a one-hour daily break while allowing investors to trade across a much larger portion of the global day from Monday through Friday.
Longer trading hours could improve accessibility for international participants while also changing overnight liquidity, price discovery and risk management across U.S. markets.
