$INTC CEO Buys $10M in Stock as Analysts Turn More Bullish

Intel ($INTC) CEO Lip-Bu Tan purchased 105,263 shares at $95 each on Aug. 11, spending roughly $10 million and raising his beneficial ownership to about 1.33 million shares, according to a Form 4 filed with the SEC.
The purchase follows Intel's recent equity raise, in which the company sold about 210.5 million shares at $95 each, increasing the offering from an initially planned $15 billion to $20 billion after strong demand that reportedly drew more than $100 billion in orders. Intel expects net proceeds of roughly $19.7 billion for capital expenditures and working capital, and has raised its 2026 capex forecast from $18 billion to more than $20 billion.
Intel's Q2 results topped estimates, with adjusted EPS of 42 cents on revenue of $16.13 billion, versus expectations of 21 cents and $14.4 billion. Revenue grew 25% year-over-year, the company's strongest growth in more than 15 years, led by a 59% jump in Data Center and AI revenue to $6.3 billion. Intel Foundry revenue rose 31% to about $5.8 billion but still posted an operating loss of roughly $2.1 billion.
Veteran trader Stephen Guilfoyle said Intel's chart now shows a potential bullish inverse head-and-shoulders pattern with a pivot around $103 and a target of $128, though he said the stock still needs to reclaim its 50-day moving average. Bank of America's Vivek Arya kept his Buy rating while lowering his price target to $145 from $160 to reflect dilution from the offering. Intel closed at $96.69 on Aug. 18, up 162% year-to-date but down about 26% from its June high.
