Philippines and India Unemployment Data Show No Sign of AI Job Losses

If AI were wiping out white-collar jobs, the Philippines and India would show it first, as the two countries run much of the world's back-office work in call centers, IT support, and claims processing.
Unemployment in both countries sits near 5% and 6%, respectively, lower than 2021 and still falling.
The AI-jobs-apocalypse narrative rests on that work disappearing, but in the two economies built to do it, the data show no damage so far.
