Vitalik Buterin Urges Caution as AI Raises Concerns Over ECDSA Security
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin says multisig signers should ideally rotate to a new cryptographic key after every transaction as advances in AI raise concerns about the long-term security of ECDSA.
The recommendation focuses on reducing the exposure of public keys that could become vulnerable if future AI systems develop practical cryptographic attack capabilities.
However, Buterin emphasized that users should not rush into changes. The warning highlights the importance of preparing blockchain security for emerging threats without introducing unnecessary risks through poorly planned migrations.
