$AMZN Invests $1.9 Billion in Delivery Network, Raises Driver Pay Near $24/Hour

Amazon ($AMZN) is committing an additional $1.9 billion to expand and upgrade its delivery network, directing capital toward enhanced Delivery Service Partner (DSP) support and increasing average driver pay to nearly $24 per hour.
The investment also finances the rollout of advanced AI routing, next-generation mapping, and enhanced safety technology across its fleet operations.
As part of the technological deployment, Amazon plans to scale its Smart Delivery Glasses fleet, targeting more than 20,000 active devices by the end of 2027.
