Oil staying contained is a win for the U.S. blockade strategy
Every day oil prices fail to spike is a win for the U.S. blockade strategy against Iran.
Higher oil prices are one of Tehran's strongest potential sources of leverage because disruption in the region could raise energy costs globally.
So far, that pressure has not translated into a sustained oil shock.
For $WTI and $BRENT, the key signal is whether Iran can materially disrupt supply enough to force prices higher.
If not, the balance of economic leverage remains tilted toward Washington.
