OpenAI Data Center Head Chris Malone Departs the Company

Chris Malone, a key executive overseeing OpenAI's data-center buildout, left the company last week, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Malone joined OpenAI in March 2025 shortly after Stargate was announced. He previously led data-center strategy at Meta after earlier working on data-center technology at Google.
