ZachXBT Seeks Funding After Spending $349.7K Investigating Crypto Exploits
ZachXBT is seeking grants and donations after spending roughly $349,700 of his own money investigating more than $1 billion in crypto exploits.
The blockchain investigator says he posed as a laundering client inside a Chinese syndicate moving funds linked to North Korea, accepting a 5% loss on transactions to maintain access.
The investigation led to a Telegram user known as "Jimmy Green," who allegedly helped move funds connected to the $1.5 billion Bybit hack. ZachXBT says the operation produced wallet addresses, screenshots and bridge transactions that could be matched onchain.
Evidence from the investigation eventually helped Tether freeze $442,000 in USDT. ZachXBT says he is now seeking outside funding to continue high-risk investigations and is sitting on significant findings from other cases.
