$AMZN Blocks $META's New Muse AI Agent From Shopping on Its Platform Over Terms of Service

Amazon ($AMZN) has blocked Meta's ($META) newly launched Muse AI assistant from making purchases and browsing on its retail marketplace, stating that unauthorized access by the agent violates its conditions of use.
The e-commerce giant stated that third-party applications attempting to purchase on behalf of customers must operate transparently and respect platform policies, citing concerns over agent identity disclosure, unauthorized access, and account security. Amazon noted it had previously asked Meta to exclude its site from the agentic shopping tool.
The move marks an escalating conflict between major digital platforms and third-party AI agents seeking to handle direct consumer transactions, price comparisons, and automated checkouts.
