AI and Data Center Buildout Projected to Reach Record 3.63% of U.S. GDP

Total investment in artificial intelligence and data center infrastructure is projected to average 3.63% of U.S. GDP annually between 2025 and 2032, totaling approximately $10.3 trillion and marking the largest infrastructure buildout in modern U.S. history.
The projected wave outpaces previous historic investments, including railroads at 2.24% of GDP (1870–1890), highway development at 1.13% (1956–1973), and telecommunications and fiber expansion at 1.10% (1996–2003).
