Iran reportedly offers seven-day plan to reopen Strait of Hormuz

Iran has reportedly proposed a seven-day framework to the U.S. that could reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restart broader negotiations, according to the Financial Times.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the Strait could reopen by the end of the seventh day if specified conditions are met. The proposal reportedly calls for reduced U.S. military pressure and the lifting of the blockade on Iranian ports.
U.S. officials have characterized recent discussions as constructive while indicating that Washington will not rush into an agreement. A successful reopening would reduce a major supply and shipping risk for $WTI, but the proposal remains subject to negotiation.
