$LCID Q3 Deliveries Miss Estimates by 18.8% as New CEO Cuts Production and Costs

Lucid ($LCID) said it built 2,954 vehicles and delivered 3,806 in the third quarter. Reuters, citing Visible Alpha, put the average analyst estimate at 4,687 deliveries, meaning the actual number came in 18.8% below estimates. Deliveries also fell 6.7% from a year ago and came in below Q2 deliveries of 3,953.
Over the first nine months of 2026, Lucid built 13,228 vehicles and delivered 10,852, leaving 2,376 cars yet to be delivered. According to Autoblog, the company has pulled its 2026 production guidance of 25,000 to 27,000 vehicles.
New CEO Silvio Napoli cut the U.S. workforce by 18% and eliminated a second shift at the Arizona factory, moves projected to save $158 million a year. "We will not buy volume at the expense of cash or vehicle economics," Napoli said. In Q2, Lucid reported a free cash outflow of $1.47 billion, which the CFO said was largely tied to an inventory build-up.
Lucid will report third-quarter earnings on November 9, when Napoli has promised a progress update on the $1.4 billion cash plan and a new liquidity outlook.
