This quarter, however, Visa delivered the cleaner performance. Visa topped forecasts, raised its full-year outlook, and recorded its strongest revenue growth since 2022.
Mastercard also exceeded estimates, but investor attention shifted to slowing cross-border travel spending - weighed down by geopolitical tensions and softer international activity.
Even so, the long-term thesis for both remains intact.
