Louis Navellier: AI Fears Are Overblown and Growth Continues
Market analyst Louis Navellier believes fears regarding artificial intelligence are overblown, noting that development shows no signs of slowing down given that order backlogs are projected to persist through 2032.
Addressing recent caution from industry leaders like Anthropic's Dario Amodei and OpenAI's Sam Altman, Navellier agrees with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang that self-improving AI taking over the world remains unlikely.
Navellier highlighted two key infrastructure plays positioned to benefit from sustained growth:
• Ciena Corporation ($CIEN): Building data transport highways using light instead of copper, with projected revenue growth at a 30% compound annual growth rate through 2029 and operating margins forecasted between 32% and 35%.
• Coherent, Inc. ($COHR): Developing laser systems, high-speed transceivers, and optical switching gear critical for data centers, including its newly launched PhotonLink platform designed to eliminate bandwidth bottlenecks.
