U.S. bond funds attract record $625B through first eight months
Investors have poured approximately $625 billion into U.S. bond funds during the first eight months of the year, the highest amount ever recorded for that period.
The record inflows point to strong investor demand for fixed-income exposure even as yields remain elevated.
Sustained fund inflows can provide support for the bond market, although performance will continue to depend heavily on inflation, Federal Reserve policy and the direction of Treasury yields.
