Walmart Beats Q2 Estimates and Raises Full-Year Outlook
Walmart delivered another strong quarter as e-commerce, advertising and international growth continued to strengthen the business.
$WMT reported Q2 revenue of $187.9 billion, up 5.9% year-over-year and above Wall Street’s $186.7 billion estimate.
Adjusted EPS rose 19% to $0.81, beating the $0.74 expected, while net income reached $6.5 billion.
Digital growth remained one of the biggest drivers.
Global e-commerce sales jumped 23%, advertising revenue grew 38% and membership fee revenue increased 17%.
Walmart International was particularly strong, with revenue climbing 12.8% to $35.2 billion.
The company also raised its fiscal 2027 outlook.
Walmart now expects adjusted EPS of $2.80-$2.87, constant-currency net sales growth of 4%-5% and adjusted operating income growth of 7%-8.5%.
The numbers highlight how Walmart is becoming more than a traditional retailer.
Higher-margin businesses like advertising, memberships and e-commerce are increasingly contributing alongside its massive physical-store network.
Management says the business model is becoming “stronger and more durable.”
The latest quarter backs that up.
