Alibaba unveils Zhenwu V900 AI chip to challenge Nvidia

Alibaba has unveiled its Zhenwu V900 AI chip as China continues expanding domestic alternatives to $NVDA hardware.
The company is targeting enough AI infrastructure to support approximately 20 GW of data-center capacity by 2032, signaling substantial long-term compute ambitions.
The initiative could strengthen China's domestic AI hardware ecosystem and increase competition in accelerators, although execution will depend on chip performance, manufacturing capacity, software support and the pace of data-center deployment.
