Google is joining the Dow

Google is joining the Dow Jones Industrial Average, replacing Verizon before the open on June 29.
The Dow only holds 30 companies, so inclusion still matters from a visibility and index-flow perspective.
The timing is interesting. Google just took pressure from AI talent concerns, yet it is still being added to one of the most watched indexes in the world.
That says the market may be questioning the AI story, but the index committee still sees Google as core American market infrastructure.
