Gulf Nations’ Bond Issuance Hits a Record $112 Billion

Gulf countries have issued $112 billion in bonds year to date , the highest amount ever recorded at this point of the year and more than triple the level seen in 2022.
Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, and Qatar are raising capital to fund infrastructure designed to reduce reliance on the Strait of Hormuz, including new ports, pipeline repairs, and expanded road networks.
Kuwait alone raised $6.0 billion last week, attracting $14.8 billion in investor orders —more than double the amount offered.
Gulf nations are borrowing at a record pace as they accelerate a major reshaping of regional infrastructure.
