Medtronic beats Q1 estimates and raises fiscal 2027 growth outlook
Medtronic $MDT reported Q1 fiscal 2027 revenue of $9.76 billion, ahead of the $9.54 billion estimate, while adjusted EPS of $1.45 also beat expectations of $1.39.
Revenue increased 13.7% year over year and adjusted EPS rose 15.1%. Cardiovascular revenue reached $3.9 billion, with Cardiac Ablation Solutions growing 88%, while Neuroscience, Medical Surgical and Diabetes also posted double-digit growth.
The company raised its fiscal 2027 organic growth outlook to 7.25%-7.75% from 6.75%-7.25% and now expects adjusted EPS of $5.94-$6.00. Management noted that the quarter included an extra fiscal week that contributed roughly $570 million to organic growth.
Medtronic also announced an approximately $700 million partnership with Cornerstone Robotics covering distribution rights for the Sentire surgical robot in selected markets outside the U.S., alongside its existing Hugo platform.
With revenue and earnings above expectations, stronger guidance and broad growth across major business segments, the quarter reinforces positive operating momentum for $MDT.
