Ethereum transaction fees plunge 87% from April peak

Ethereum transaction fees have fallen sharply, with average costs dropping from an April peak of roughly $0.72 to about $0.095 today, an 87% decline.
The reduction comes even as $ETH trades at higher levels, showing that stronger asset prices have not translated into the fee pressure seen during previous periods of elevated network activity.
Lower transaction costs improve Ethereum's usability, although they can also reduce fee revenue and $ETH burn if network demand does not increase enough to offset the lower cost per transaction.
