Moderna cancer trial participant bought the stock and is up over 70%
An 87-year-old participant in Moderna's cancer vaccine trial says he was confident enough in the treatment to buy $MRNA stock when he enrolled, according to the WSJ.
He purchased the shares around two years ago and says the position is now up more than 70%.
The story comes as investors increasingly focus on Moderna's oncology pipeline as a potential growth engine beyond its original vaccine business.
For $MRNA, successful cancer vaccine development could materially change how the market values the company's platform and long-term pipeline.
