$COIN Adds Former xAI and X CFO Anthony Armstrong to Its Board

$COIN has added Anthony Armstrong to its board of directors.
Armstrong is a former Morgan Stanley banker and previously served as CFO of both xAI and X, giving him experience across traditional finance and Elon Musk’s technology companies.
His appointment adds another senior executive with deep capital-markets and technology exposure to Coinbase’s leadership structure.
For $COIN, the move could be especially relevant as the company expands beyond crypto trading into payments, custody, institutional services and broader financial infrastructure.
The appointment also strengthens Coinbase’s ties to executives with experience operating at the intersection of finance, AI and large-scale technology platforms.
