OpenAI Says Unreleased Astra Model Solved 10 Long-Standing Math Problems 🚨

OpenAI says an internal version of its unreleased Astra model produced new results for 10 open problems spanning quantum complexity, post-quantum cryptography, group theory and other fields. Each problem had seen no progress on its main result for at least a decade.
The arguments were formalized and mechanically verified using Lean, while the tokens required to discover all ten solutions would have cost roughly $2,000 at Sol API rates.
