Meta is testing prediction markets

Meta is reportedly working on a standalone prediction markets app internally called Arena.
The app is said to be inspired by the rise of Polymarket and Kalshi.
At launch, users may predict outcomes with game-like points instead of money, but Meta has not ruled out real-money betting later.
If Meta plugs prediction markets into Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger, this could become one of the largest distribution experiments in the category.
