Ondas and Palantir Announce Regna AI to Develop Specialized Models for Government and Enterprise Customers
Ondas $ONDS and Palantir $PLTR have announced Regna AI, a new company focused on developing specialized artificial intelligence models for government agencies and enterprises seeking greater control over their AI systems and proprietary data.
Regna AI will initially be wholly owned by Ondas and will use Palantir's artificial intelligence platform and model-training infrastructure. Ondas will also serve as the new company's first customer.
The initial focus will be intelligence and surveillance applications, with AI models designed to operate on drones, ground vehicles and other hardware platforms. The systems are intended to support operations even in environments with limited or unreliable network connectivity.
This approach reflects growing interest in edge AI, where models run directly on deployed equipment rather than relying entirely on centralized cloud infrastructure. Local processing can reduce latency and dependence on continuous connectivity, although performance will depend on available hardware and model capabilities.
Regna AI expects to begin initial customer deployments over the coming months. The initiative could expand Ondas' presence in specialized autonomous systems while extending the application of Palantir's AI infrastructure into operational hardware environments.
The announcement does not specify initial contract values, expected revenue or the financial terms of Palantir's participation. Investors will be watching deployment progress, customer adoption and evidence of commercial demand.
