Google signs record enhanced geothermal power deal with Fervo

Google $GOOGL has signed what is described as the world's largest enhanced geothermal power agreement, securing 396 MW from Fervo Energy's Utah project beginning in 2028.
The agreement also includes an option to expand the partnership to nearly 1 GW by 2030.
The additional firm carbon-free power could help support Google's future data-center expansion in Utah as AI workloads continue driving electricity demand higher.
