California brings Claude to state agencies

California signed a deal with Anthropic to make Claude available across state agencies and local governments at a discounted rate.
Claude will be the first AI tool available statewide.
Anthropic is also providing workforce training and technical support.
California already uses Claude for code support, DMV customer service, Medicaid workflows, and cybersecurity work.
Government AI adoption is moving from pilots to infrastructure.
