2027 Kia Telluride Review: A Luxe Redesign With a New Hybrid Option

Kia's redesigned 2027 Telluride adds a hybrid powertrain to its flagship three-row SUV, pairing a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor for 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The EPA rates the hybrid AWD Telluride at 31 mpg combined, an improvement the reviewer called remarkable for a three-row SUV of its size, though the powertrain feels less urgent in real-world acceleration than its horsepower figures suggest.
The redesign gives the Telluride a more upscale look, with the reviewer comparing its side and rear profile to a Range Rover. The interior includes SynTex suede seats, second-row captain's chairs, a usable third row, and dual 12.3-inch infotainment screens, though the driver's display can't show navigation or music info. A new stalk-mounted gear selector on the center column was flagged as unintuitive.
