Uber cuts 3,300 jobs while shifting savings toward robotaxi expansion

Uber $UBER is cutting approximately 3,300 jobs and reducing its management ranks by about 20% as CEO Dara Khosrowshahi removes organizational layers and brings the workforce back toward 2021 levels.
The savings are expected to be redirected toward growth initiatives, including more than $10 billion planned for robotaxi partnerships over the coming years.
The restructuring shows how aggressively Uber is prioritizing autonomous mobility as a larger part of its long-term strategy.
