Lufthansa Postpones Restart of Dubai Flights Until November 25 as Middle East Security Concerns Persist
Lufthansa Group has postponed the planned resumption of its flights to Dubai until November 25, 2026, according to TheStreet. Flights from Munich and Frankfurt had been scheduled to restart on October 25 and 26, but have not operated since March 2026. The delay also affects Lufthansa subsidiaries Swiss and Eurowings.
In a statement, the airline said the decision was made "in light of the current situation and outlook in the Middle East." Affected passengers will be contacted directly and offered flexible rebooking options or a full refund.
Like KLM and Air France, Lufthansa has delayed the restart of its Dubai service dozens of times this year. Most international carriers canceled flights to cities such as Dubai, Doha and Tel Aviv after the U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran on February 28. In October, a string of Houthi attacks on targets in Saudi Arabia pushed most major airlines to suspend service into the country. As of October 2026, state-owned carriers Emirates and Etihad Airways are the main ways in and out of Dubai.
Lufthansa also warned of fraudulent fake pages with purported Lufthansa contacts, and urged customers to use only the channels listed on lufthansa.com.
