$SNPS Expands Custom Silicon Push With Multi-Year, $1 Billion-Plus Agreement With $AMZN

Synopsys ($SNPS) is expanding deeper into the custom silicon stack through a multi-year agreement worth more than $1 billion with Amazon ($AMZN), with Amazon becoming the lead customer for Synopsys' application-optimized silicon IP business.
The partnership goes beyond IP, expanding Amazon's use of Synopsys EDA, simulation and agentic AI tools across Graviton, Trainium and broader AWS infrastructure. Synopsys is also shifting toward a license-plus-royalty model that can scale with production volumes.
