AST SpaceMobile and AT&T Complete Seamless Cell Tower-to-Satellite Handoff

AST SpaceMobile ($ASTS) and AT&T ($T) have successfully completed a seamless handoff from a terrestrial cell tower to a BlueBird satellite using Nokia ($NOK) network equipment.
The test demonstrates how BlueBird satellites could function like additional cell sites within AT&T's existing network, helping extend connectivity beyond traditional terrestrial coverage.
This marks another step toward bringing satellite broadband connectivity directly to everyday smartphones.
