$HOOD CEO Says Tokenized Stocks Are Becoming the Only Route to U.S. Equities in 120 Countries

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev says people across 120 countries are using tokenized stocks as their only way to access U.S. equities.
“They don't even have highly functional financial systems. This is really their only option,” Tenev said.
The comments highlight one of the biggest potential use cases for tokenization: giving investors outside developed financial markets access to U.S. assets without relying on traditional brokerage infrastructure.
Robinhood Chain’s tokenized stock volume has already surpassed $3 billion since launching in July.
For $HOOD, that creates an opportunity far beyond its existing U.S. brokerage business.
If tokenized equities continue gaining adoption, Robinhood could position its blockchain infrastructure as a global distribution layer for U.S. stocks and other financial assets.
The bigger story is that tokenization may not simply make existing markets more efficient. In some countries, it could become the primary way people access those markets at all.
