Landry’s Acquires Nine Restaurants for $22 Million as Closures Mount

Landry’s Inc. has secured court approval to acquire assets tied to nine restaurant locations operated by bankrupt Fireman Hospitality Group, in a deal worth more than $22 million.
The acquisition, completed through Landry’s affiliate FHG Acquisition LLC, includes familiar dining concepts such as Café Fiorello, Trattoria dell’Arte, Bond 45, Brooklyn Diner, USA Brooklyn Delicatessen, Paris Bar, and Le Jardin Rooftop.
The winning bid rose from an initial $9.5 million to approximately $22 million following a competitive bankruptcy auction. The purchase also includes additional cure costs and assumed liabilities.
However, the deal does not guarantee that all nine locations will remain open. The buyer has up to 120 days after closing to decide which leases and contracts to assume, while two Washington, D.C.-area restaurants have already closed.
Fireman Hospitality Group filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on August 9, 2026. Its financial difficulties included substantial debt, more than $5.5 million in outstanding merchant cash advances, and the withholding of at least $5.96 million in credit-card receipts.
The transaction gives several established restaurant brands a potential path forward, but ongoing lease decisions and industry-wide financial pressure leave uncertainty around the future of individual locations.
