Elon Musk Pledges SpaceX Shares to American Children in Potential $10.5B Giveaway

Elon Musk has reportedly pledged to distribute one SpaceX share to every child in America next year, potentially reaching approximately 72 million children under the age of 18.
Using an estimated share value of $146.03, the proposed distribution would represent roughly $10.5 billion in equity. Musk also reportedly indicated that the shares could be distributed through Trump Accounts, investment accounts established for children.
The announcement has attracted attention as an unusual proposal for distributing private-company ownership directly to the public.
However, the pledge's implementation remains unconfirmed. Eligibility requirements, share valuation, transfer restrictions and distribution dates have not been formally established. SpaceX is privately held, and $SPCX should not be confused with publicly traded SpaceX common shares.
