Anthropic Launches Personal Finance for Claude, Challenging Traditional Financial Apps

Anthropic ($ANT) has launched Personal Finance for Claude, allowing U.S. Pro, Max and Ultra subscribers to connect bank and credit card accounts through Plaid and analyze spending, account balances and upcoming bills using natural-language questions.
The feature is read-only and includes no advertisements or sponsored offers.
The launch puts Claude in direct competition for customer relationships with PayPal ($PYPL) Venmo, Block ($XYZ) Cash App and Intuit ($INTU) Credit Karma, which offer financial services within their own apps.
As more consumers turn to Claude for financial insights, payment platforms could face growing competition to maintain control of their customer relationships.
