Tesla, Nvidia and Microsoft among 56 firms blocking OKXICE tokenized stock listings

Corporate resistance to tokenized stocks is growing, with 56 companies now formally objecting to having third-party versions of their shares traded on OKXICE, a planned blockchain trading platform backed by OKX and NYSE owner Intercontinental Exchange $ICE.
The latest objections include Tesla $TSLA, Amazon $AMZN, SpaceX $SPCX, Netflix $NFLX, Lam Research $LRCX and SoFi $SOFI.
Five of the Magnificent Seven have now objected: Tesla, Nvidia $NVDA, Amazon, Microsoft $MSFT and Alphabet $GOOGL.
According to CoinDesk, 49 of the 62 companies initially selected for the platform have filed objections, representing nearly 80% of the proposed lineup.
Under the SEC's tokenized securities framework, companies can block trading of third-party tokenized versions of their shares by submitting a timely written objection.
The restrictions do not prevent companies from issuing their own tokenized shares or participating in other approved arrangements.
OKXICE aims to offer round-the-clock trading and stablecoin settlement for tokenized US equities, but the growing number of objections presents a significant obstacle to its planned launch.
The dispute highlights a central challenge for stock tokenization: expanding blockchain-based access to traditional securities while preserving issuer control, shareholder rights and market integrity.
