Zoetis Beats Q3 Earnings Estimates Despite Weakness in US Companion Animal Business
Zoetis $ZTS reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of approximately $2.4 billion, ahead of the $2.3 billion consensus estimate but down 1% year over year. Adjusted earnings per share rose 3% to $1.75, exceeding expectations of $1.51.
GAAP earnings declined 12% to $1.44 per share. US revenue fell 6% to approximately $1.2 billion, while international revenue increased 4% to $1.1 billion. Management said continued pressure in companion animal products was partly offset by growth in livestock and diagnostics.
The company raised the lower end of its full-year revenue outlook to $9.22 billion, leaving the upper end unchanged at $9.32 billion. Adjusted EPS guidance increased to $6.25 to $6.35 from $6.15 to $6.25.
The earnings beat and improved profit guidance indicate resilience, although weaker US demand remains an important concern for the animal health business.
