Chainlink Partners With LG CNS to Expand Enterprise Blockchain and Tokenization Across South Korea
Chainlink ($LINK) entered into a strategic collaboration with South Korean IT and cloud services giant LG CNS to develop enterprise-grade blockchain infrastructure targeting the nation's estimated $68 billion digital asset ecosystem.
The partnership focuses on expanding stablecoin issuance frameworks, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, and cross-chain connectivity linking traditional financial institutions to decentralized networks.
The initiative leverages LG CNS's central role in South Korea’s institutional digital finance development:
• LG CNS serves as the primary technical lead for the Bank of Korea's central bank digital currency (CBDC) initiative, Project Hangang, encompassing roughly 80,000 retail participants across seven commercial banks.
• The infrastructure will position institutional blockchain applications across a domestic retail and institutional market comprising over 11 million active cryptocurrency participants.
