Visa Launches USDC-Powered Global Payments Across 180+ Countries

Visa has officially launched USDC-powered payments through Visa Direct across more than 180 countries.
Inyo Global is the first enabler, allowing businesses to prefund international payouts using $USDC.
That gives companies another way to move money into Visa Direct’s global network without relying entirely on traditional bank funding rails.
The biggest advantage is speed.
Using $USDC can enable near-real-time funding for cross-border payouts while reducing some of the delays associated with conventional correspondent banking.
The rollout also represents another major step in stablecoins moving from crypto-native infrastructure into mainstream payments.
Visa is not replacing its existing network with blockchain.
Instead, it is increasingly using stablecoins as another settlement and funding layer connected to the traditional payments system.
For $USDC, the significance is distribution.
Access to Visa Direct’s network across 180+ countries could expand stablecoin usage well beyond trading and into practical business payments, remittances and international payouts.
