Micron Sees Physical AI Driving Major Memory and Storage Demand

$MU says Level 4+ autonomous vehicles could require more than 200GB of memory and multiple terabytes of storage per vehicle, each more than 10x the requirements of today's Level 2+/3 vehicles.
Micron expects humanoid robots to have comparable requirements, implying more than 200GB of memory and multi-terabyte storage capacity per robot.
The company says physical AI could become a significant driver of memory and storage demand by the end of the decade, with several physical AI customers already sampling its next-generation products.
