Saudi Oil Shipments Recover as Hormuz Traffic Rebounds

Saudi crude flows are beginning to recover after months of disruption around the Strait of Hormuz.
Saudi shipments rose in September to near their 2025 average as Hormuz transits increased. Riyadh has also pushed its East-West pipeline above 80% of its 7 million-barrel-per-day capacity, providing additional capacity to move crude toward the Red Sea.
The recovery in Saudi exports is an important sign that part of the energy supply squeeze is beginning to ease. Sustained increases in available barrels could eventually reduce pressure on crude and diesel prices.
