Hong Kong Woman Loses About $2.7 Million in Crypto Investment Scam
A 60-year-old Hong Kong woman has reportedly lost about $2.7 million in a crypto investment scam after meeting someone online who claimed to be an investment expert.
She was directed to a fraudulent crypto investment platform and transferred funds multiple times between April 14 and September 22. The platform later demanded another deposit to prove that her account was not involved in money laundering, prompting her to contact police.
