Brent Crude Reportedly Surges Above $115 as Persian Gulf Supply Risks Intensify

Brent crude reportedly climbed to $115.08 per barrel after reaching $115.84, extending Thursday's 4% rally and approaching its highest level in five months.
The surge follows reports of Houthi attacks affecting Saudi energy and transportation infrastructure, including the Shaybah oil field, Dammam airport and Yanbu. The US has also reportedly ordered non-emergency personnel to leave Saudi Arabia.
At least 18 vessel attacks were reported over two weeks, while LSEG reportedly warned that tanker risks extend beyond the Strait of Hormuz into the Gulf of Oman.
These developments could increase shipping costs and oil supply uncertainty. However, the reported attacks, damage and price levels require independent confirmation.
