Fal Raises $1.3 Billion at $16 Billion Valuation as AI Inference Demand Surges
AI inference startup Fal has raised $1.3 billion at a $16 billion valuation, doubling its valuation since April. The funding round was led by Bessemer, with Nvidia among the participating investors.
Fal provides infrastructure that allows developers to run AI models for image, video, and audio generation. The company reportedly reached $800 million in annualized revenue earlier this year.
The latest funding comes as demand for AI inference continues to accelerate. CEO Burkay Gur said Fal had to introduce customer rate limits over the summer because its computing capacity could not keep up with demand.
Fal plans to use the new capital to expand its computing infrastructure and grow its team.
